Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Trovvana ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Trovvana is a map-first travel planner for families. You can save places, organize trips by day, visualize routes, generate AI-powered summaries, and export PDF itineraries.

3. AI-Generated Content

Certain features of the Service use third-party artificial intelligence providers (Google Gemini and/or Anthropic Claude) to generate summaries, suggestions, and place information. AI-generated content is provided for convenience only and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it for travel decisions (including safety, accessibility, opening hours, and pricing). The Service relies on third-party AI providers. We are not responsible for the underlying logic, biases, or technical failures of these systems.

4. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Trovvana will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login details. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Trovvana offers Basic and Pro subscription plans, billed monthly or yearly via Stripe.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing for future billing periods with 30 days' notice.
  • If your subscription lapses, your data is retained but access to paid features is restricted until you resubscribe.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the trips, places, notes, and itineraries you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content to provide the Service. We may use de-identified, aggregated data derived from usage to improve the Service. We are not a storage or backup service. You are responsible for exporting and maintaining your own copies of important trip data.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or abuse the Service
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service
  • Create multiple accounts to avoid usage limits
  • Scrape, extract, or systematically download place data, photos, reviews, or other third-party content obtained through the Service
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicence any data obtained through the Service, including place information sourced from third-party providers
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

8. Third-Party Content

The Service displays place information, photos, and reviews sourced from third-party providers including Google. This content is provided for your personal trip planning use only and remains the property of the respective providers. You may not use third-party content for any commercial purpose outside of your personal travel planning. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party place data.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties (including our AI and data providers).

10. Availability and Modifications

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those non-excludable rights and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Trovvana and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content, place information, travel times, or route suggestions. In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount actually paid by you to Trovvana in the six months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Trovvana and its operators harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice in the app.
