Getting help and submitting feedback

How to report bugs, suggest features, and get support from the Trovvana team.

We want Trovvana to work great for your family, and your feedback directly shapes what we build next. Whether you have found a bug, have an idea for a new feature, or just want to share your experience, there are two main ways to reach us.

Feedback page in the app

The fastest way to get in touch is through the built-in feedback page.

  1. Open the Trovvana app.
  2. Click your profile icon in the top right corner, then select Feature Requests from the dropdown menu.
  3. The feedback page has two tabs: Feature Requests and General Feedback. Choose the tab that fits what you want to share.
  4. Describe your experience and submit.

Bug reports and feedback submitted through this page go directly to the team. We review every submission and prioritize based on how many users are affected and how severe the issue is.

Tips for writing a good bug report

A clear bug report helps us find and fix the problem faster. When submitting a report, try to include:

  • What happened — Describe the problem in plain language. For example, “I clicked Export PDF and nothing downloaded” is more helpful than “export is broken.”
  • What you expected — Tell us what you thought should happen. This helps us understand whether something is a bug or a design issue.
  • Steps to reproduce — If you can make the problem happen again, list the steps. For example: “1. Open trip. 2. Click a place marker. 3. Click Generate Summary. 4. Nothing happens.”
  • Browser and device — Let us know which browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and device (laptop, tablet, phone) you are using. Some issues only occur in specific environments.
  • Screenshots — If the issue is visual (a layout problem, a missing element, an error message), attaching a screenshot saves a lot of back-and-forth.

You do not need to include all of these for every report. Even a short description is valuable. But the more context you provide, the faster we can investigate.

Feature request board

Have an idea for something Trovvana should do? The feature request board lets you suggest new features and see what other users have asked for.

Browsing feature requests

The feature request board is accessible from the feedback page. You can browse community suggestions organized by status:

  • Under review — We have seen the request and are evaluating it.
  • Planned — The feature is on our roadmap and will be built in a future update.
  • In progress — Development is actively underway.
  • Shipped — The feature has been released. Check the latest version of Trovvana to try it out.

Submitting a feature request

  1. Open the feedback page from the user menu (click your profile icon, then Feature Requests).
  2. On the Feature Requests tab, click New Request.
  3. Describe the feature you would like and why it would be useful for your travel planning.
  4. Submit.

Your suggestion will appear on the board for other users to see and vote on.

Voting on existing requests

If someone has already suggested a feature you want, vote for it instead of submitting a duplicate. Higher vote counts signal stronger demand and help us prioritize. Each user gets one vote per request.

Response times

We are a small team, so response times vary depending on volume and severity:

  • Critical bugs (cannot log in, data not saving) — We aim to acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve as quickly as possible.
  • Non-critical bugs (visual glitches, minor inconsistencies) — Typically addressed in the next release cycle.
  • Feature requests — Reviewed weekly. Popular requests with many votes move up the priority list.

We do not currently offer live chat or phone support, but every piece of feedback is read by a real person on the team.

Staying updated

When we ship a fix for a bug you reported or release a feature you requested, the status on the feature board is updated. Check back periodically to see progress on items you have voted for or submitted.
